Prof. Akwasi Afriyie Achampong is a globally recognised physician, accomplished entrepreneur, and dedicated philanthropist with over 25 years of experience in medicine and healthcare leadership. He holds a BSc in Pharmacy from LIU Brooklyn and a Medical degree from NYITCOM. He completed his residency at Maimonides Medical Center and is board-certified in Internal Medicine. Prof. Achampong serves as Medical Director of Elmont Medical, PC in New York, Clinical Assistant Professor at Hofstra North Shore-LIJ School of Medicine, and sits on the Board of Trustees at Xavier University School of Medicine in Aruba. He served as Chairman of the Ghana Standards Authority from 2017 to 2021 and as CEO of International Maritime Hospital (IMaH) in Tema, Ghana. He is the founder of Unique Life Inc., a Licensed Private Pilot, and was recognised among the 100 Most Influential Persons in Africa in 2024.
